What Inspires You? [Small Hands Big Ideas Guest Post]

I’ve got a guest post up today over at Grace Boyle’s blog, Small Hands Big Ideas. Grace has been doing a series of guest posts asking the question ‘What Inspires You’? The series features some of the most intuitive bloggers from around the web, and I’m honored to be a part of that group. If you’re interested in learning a little bit more about the man behind the pants (or lack there of), head on over to Grace’s blog and read about what inspires me.

Here’s a snippet from my post – Go HERE to read the rest:

Do you ever think about how amazing the human mind really is? Do you ever just take a step back and think about how people come up with ideas? I challenge myself, and challenge all of you to take a look at yourself – think about what you’ve done in your life, how far you’ve come, how much you’ve accomplished. Odds are, you’ve done a lot more than you give yourself credit for. We inherently sell ourselves short. It’s just something we do as human beings. We love to give credit to others when they inspire us, enlighten us, or change us for the better - but for some reason, we neglect to give ourselves the credit we deserve.

In other news. Matt’s writing a book!

I have committed to realizing (yet another) passion and am in the beginning stages of writing my first (fictional) story – which, if it doesn’t suck and I actually manage to complete, I will hopefully pursue publishing. As most of you know, this is a long and tedious process, especially for a newbie to the game like me – BUT, if you’re wanting to keep up with the progress – head over to this website where I’ll be posting updates and excerpts from the story, just enough to give you a taste and (hopefully) peak your interest.

Matt, thanks for writing in the series. Your post is inquisitive and also well-put. The best part about the series is that each post is inherently different, but there is definitely the commonalities as well. Enjoy your vacation and thank you again!

Not a problem at all Grace – thanks for having me as part of the fine group you’ve been featuring, I enjoyed writing it. A little soul searching is good from time to time – it was great to reflect on my own source of inspiration. The truth is, it comes from all over the place, but in the end, it starts from within.
