The Inconvenience of Change Ebook Has Arrived!

Last May was a turning point in my life. It was one of those¬†definitive¬†time periods when you don’t really understand WHY you have to do something, but you just know you have to do it. After months of contemplating and telling myself “no” – I finally said “yes” – I quit my job, sold almost everything I owned, and moved to Chicago with no plan. Oh, and if that wasn’t enough, I got engaged too.

Let’s face it. Change is never easy. It throws us off course and gets us out of our comfortable routine. Even a small change, like not going to Starbucks on my way to work, is easier said than done. So while all this was going on in my life last May, I turned the blog over to nearly 40 of my fellow writers – who each shared their unique perspective on the topic of “change”.

The response was overwhelming – so much so that I knew I had to figure out a way to let this incredible series of inspiration live on. Now, finally, six months later, I’m proud to introduce¬†THE INCONVENIENCE OF CHANGE EBOOK!

What you’ll get:

It is an honor and a privilege for me to offer this to all of you 100% FREE OF CHARGE with absolutely no strings attached.

All I ask of you is if you like it – share it with others. Tweet about it, email a copy to your friends, print it out and show it to your students, peers, or colleagues, embed the above video on your own site. There are 38 voices within that need to be heard – I’m counting on you to spread the message!

A lot of time went into this and would love to hear your feedback on the ebook! Leave a comment below or contact me today and let me know what you thought!

And yes, it makes a great gift underneath the tree, don’t you think? Much better than socks at least.

Congrats! This is such an awesome idea and glad you got so many amazing bloggers to contribute. It is this type of collobration that will push forward the type of change we need today. I can’t wait to download it and read it on my trip this weekend! I’ll write more after I read it. Great job!

It may be a small step toward something, but it’s a step nonetheless. I genuinely hope many of you will download and share with others. I guess in the end I get the credit, but everyone who was a part of this and everyone who continues to spread the word deserves just as much of the credit as myself. Look forward to hearing your thoughts after you’ve had a chance to read!

What an amazing compilation of voices! I look forward to reading it a little more thoroughly.

I wanted to note on one of the first things I read, though: “You can’t do everything, but you can do a lot.” While I agree we can do a lot, I also thing that we can do everything. That’s one of the great things about life: if you decide you want to do it, and believe in yourself that you can, you can! I’m not saying that you can do everything yourself. Think about it: people who, like the president, get credit (and blame) for all that goes right (or wrong) in this country don’t do it all themselves; they have a whole network of people who support him/her in accomplishing goals and reaching milestones, making the impossible possible.

I think it’s important to challenge ourselves and have faith in accomplishing the impossible because it can be done! I see leaders in my life who seem to do everything and be everywhere, but what we don’t see is the people behind the scenes who help to get it done. They believe that they can do everything, and everyone else can see and believe it too.

Thanks for sharing this, and thanks for the hard work everyone else put in together!

    Take care,
    Ashley

    • Matt Cheuvront Reply

I don’t disagree at all with you here Ashley – and the point I was trying to make (which may not have came out the right way) was that ONE person can’t do everything, but that ONE person can do a lot. ONE person can impact many others. ONE person can bring together 38 unique forward thinking bloggers and unite them with a common theme of inspiring change in other people – this series served as inspiration for me – and it is my home that others will find some wisdom in this – providing everyone with a tangible resource to look back on again and again.

Thank you for the kind words – I hope you enjoy reading through this!

First, THANK YOU for including me many moons ago. I think this was my first taste at what online collaboration is all about, and wow, what a showing. Second, I’m honored to be included, and I’m even more excited about what’s to come. I know to many this might seem like a final product (which is amazing by the way), but I think it’s just another beginning. I’m looking forward to the road.

Finally, I think this kind of work is what the world needs. I’m so happy we’re all a part of it.

    • Matt Cheuvront Reply

No problem at all Em. I owe it all to you guys – every one of you who did a little bit of soul searching and came together on this. I am with you all the way that this is not closing the door, this is opening things up to a whole new realm of possibilities. I would have never guessed my community would be what it is today when I started Life Without Pants back in February – and I can only imagine what it will be this time next year.

It’s going to be a hell of a ride.

It looks beautiful and professional, and I’m extremely honored to be in there with a bunch of extremely smart and passionate young people. Hopefully people will enjoy it and learn from it, realizing how possible change is and how we have to believe in ourselves :) I hope it’ll spark a movement!!

Great job! Thanks for including me!

Thank you Akhila – your piece about “social change” was one that did and still does stand out to me. It’s such an important message that one person can really inspire many to bring about BIG changes. So often we think that change is bigger than us – that one person can’t really do much – but hopefully people will see – through reading this – that one person can unite the collective voice of many towards a common good!

Wow Matt; finally looking at the ebook! How fresh and clean it is, in design and content. I’ll happily concur that May seems ages ago–many new buds have bloomed since the spring! Looks like plenty revolutionaries are indeed creating change in their lives, leaving the past behind, and plunging headlong into their days. I’m fully excited to see the great lengths of I.C. unveiled as more catch on to their incredible ability to choose their experiences, and develop their world.

Cheers, Matt, and bon voyage as the journey continues!

    Hey Matt,

I am finally getting to read through this and it is great! The posts you chose for the e-book are all wonderful and I think this is going to be an excellent gift this holiday season. I enjoyed contributing earlier this year and love my copy of New Day Revolution. Thanks for all the great advice as I have been slowly getting my blog up and going.

Thank YOU Kristina – how is everything going with you these days? I hope all is well. The IOC Ebook does make a swell Holiday gift – I might have a lovely little holiday video in the works soon – so stay tuned! Keep in touch!
