A Day of (Thanks) Giving: Selflessness & Selfishness

Can’t see the video? Click here.

If ever there is a day to reflect on the year that was, to stop and give thanks to everyone who helped me get where I am today, Thanksgiving Day is the day to do it. There have been so many of you who are reading this that have had a huge impact on where I stand, right now. So many people who have read and watched and listed through all of the changes, challenges, and obstacles over the past 12 months.

Spend the day giving people the gratitude they deserve. Let your friends and family know how much you appreciate them. Throw out the “I love you’s” in abundance. Be grateful, reflect, drink lot’s of wine, eat lot’s of turkey, and have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

What have you learned this year? What are you most thankful for?

You’re not going to have anything left to say at New Year’s!!! In any case, thank you for all of your gen y wisdom, reciprocated support and inspiration. Hope you eat a crapload of turkey and pie!

Haha – yes, my holidays are all starting to run together – I need to save SOME reflection for the end of the year, huh? It’s been great connecting with you – we’re proving that the world is getting smaller and smaller – that chatting with someone from the other side of the world is only a click away. I love it. Have a great weekend!

Hope you had a great day, Matt. Thanks for your support, wisdom, and one hell of a blog design.

I’m thankful for being unemployed the last 9 months. Time away has provided a chance for me to meet wonderful people (offline and online), travel to new places, and understand more about what it will take to make me happy in the work place. I can’t say it enough, but I’m so very thankful for my company being acquired and my job being cut.

Enjoy the rest of your holiday.

Likewise Rich. Thanksgiving was great. Getting myself up to gather with some family and get out with the crazies shopping at 5am. Good times.

You’ve got a bright future ahead (not that you need me to tell you that). You’re coming on strong to the blogging scene, and if my redesign has helped give you some motivation, that’s all the satisfaction that I need.

Sometimes we can find so much good in what would appear to be a bad situation. Losing your job has opened up a whole new world of opportunity for you. Cheers and good luck!
